Height: 12"
Cast Bronze. Limited edition of 10
$4,600

The seated portrait statue Thomas Jefferson is a tribute to the man, and to the spirit, that made America possible. This piece captures the Founding Father at home at Monticello in a moment of private reflection. Jefferson is depicted in an overcoat and boots, having just come home from one of his many walks through the country around his property. He sits in a Martha Washington lolling chair, a type of chair popular in late eighteenth-century America.

On his lap is a copy of the Declaration of Independence. This portrait celebrates Jefferson in a moment of philosophical reflection on the meaning of the Declaration, and what lies ahead because of Jefferson's achievement.
