About Ron Sanders ~

Ron Sanders is a native of Fort Wayne, Indiana. He graduated Magna Cum Laude in 1989 from the Columbus College of Art & Design in Columbus, Ohio, with a BFA in illustration and minors in advertising, photography, and fine art.

Upon graduation Ron began producing commercial illustrations on a freelance basis and has been represented by agents in New York and Chicago. He has produced illustrations for advertising and promotional material, calendars and newspapers and for clients that include Spike tv, Doubleday Bookclub, Harcourt, McGraw Hill, Chase Financial, The Boy Scouts, BF Goodrich, and many others.

In 1992 Ron began pursuing publication of his work as limited edition prints. And, while he has experimented with that market in the years since, his focus is on the sale of original paintings through galleries and commissions.

To this end, Ron has studied the craft of oil painting in order to make the technical second nature and to give himself the tools and vocabulary necessary to express himself visually. While studying the styles and methods of other artists past and present, he has actively pursued his own method of personal expression.

The results of this dedication have been numerous showings in juried national shows throughout the United States and the exhibition of his work in public and private collections.

Ron lives in Venice, FL, with his wife and three children.
