About Dale Momii ~

Dale Momii was born in San Francisco and had interest in art from an early age. Having both Japanese and Hispanic ancestry, Dale's culturally diverse background influenced the development of his art. In the 1970s, Dale received an Associate of Art Degree in Technical Illustration from the College of San Mateo and has worked as a Commercial Artist in the aerospace industry for more than 28 years. Dale has taught private painting classes and workshops for more than 20 years, to both adults and children. For Dale, the most enjoyable mediums are oils, alkyds, and acrylics, on canvas, masonite and most recently, tile. His success in these three mediums is mainly due to private lessons and years of experimentation. His paintings are a form of realism, and his favorite subject matters are wildlife, seascapes, and aviation art.
