Artwork has the ability to lead us to happiness; perhaps even to ecstasy if we allow it to take us there. Dreams of Ecstasy is about the paths we take on our course to happiness. Like the figures in my sculpture, we all experience the agony and ecstasy of life. My hope is that the emotional direction of this sculpture inspires us, makes us feel alive, and ultimately, lifts us upward.- Martin Eichinger
